Utzon Center invites you to a special evening celebrating the opening of the new architecture exhibition Afterlife - A Tribute to Difficult Buildings. The exhibition showcases 17 diverse examples of what can happen when we build upon existing structures, from an old henhouse and suburban home to factories, silos, and Copenhagen's iconic Børsen.
Transformation stands as one of architecture's defining movements today. The exhibition brings you close to materials, building components, models, and photographs from the projects, revealing how worn, vacant, and challenging buildings are given new purposes and new life. On opening night, you can explore the exhibition at your own pace while enjoying music, a bar, and vibrant atmosphere at Utzon Center.
As a bonus, the same evening offers your first look at works by Jørn Utzon and contemporary art displayed throughout the courtyard galleries, demonstrating the connections between Utzon's architectural vision and modern artistic practice.
