Experience a nostalgic journey through five decades of popular Christmas gifts at Aalborg Historical Museum. From classic fondue sets to modern air fryers, the exhibition tells a fascinating story about Danes' changing wishes and everyday life without focusing on politics or major events.
The exhibition combines authentic gifts with period-appropriate Christmas decorations that create a cozy atmosphere and evoke memories of previous Christmas Eves. A large part of the collection can be tried out – test your skills with Rubik's professor cube from 1980, play Trivial Pursuit (1985), UNO (1987), or Wheel of Fortune (1989), or play with Baby Born dolls, fidget spinners, and vintage fitness equipment.
Aalborg Historical Museum, 3 November – 23 December 2026. November: Tuesday–Saturday 10.00–17.00. December: Monday–Saturday 10.00–17.00. Buy ticket on site.
