Get a thorough introduction to saxophone and trumpet, focusing on the instruments' sound, technique, and artistic possibilities. You will learn the fundamentals of wind instruments at a relaxed pace with room for questions, laughter, and musical experimentation.
The course is designed for complete beginners with no prior experience. You have the opportunity to try both instruments if you are unsure about your choice, and all materials and instrument introduction are included in the instruction.
Teaching is led by Frank Wommelsdorff, an experienced saxophonist and big band conductor with over 40 years of musical background. He is known, among other things, from Swingtime Big Band and is dedicated to sharing musical joy, rhythmic music, and community with new musicians.
Den Rytmiske provides instruments, but you are welcome to bring your own.
