David Francey returns to Denmark for a concert where songwriting and storytelling go hand in hand. He was born in Scotland and moved to Canada as a child, and his songs draw on everyday Canadian life with images of railway lines, farms, and the St. Lawrence River. On stage, the audience meets a warm and engaging artist whose offbeat humor, sharp observations, and open-hearted singing style have earned him a loyal following.
David Francey made his debut on the music scene later in life, but has since released 13 albums and received four JUNO Award, three Canadian Folk Music Award, and in 2008 the SOCAN Folk Music Award. He has performed several times at Tønder Festival and was on a highly acclaimed tour of Denmark in 2015. The concert takes place at Skråen i Nordkraft, and admission is 175 kr. Tickets must be bought or ordered in advance.
