Folkeuniversitetet, Verdensmålscenteret and Aalborg Libraries invite you to an important conversation about the state of democracy and the value of organized citizenship.
Over the past 25 years, Danish society has undergone significant changes. Inequality has grown, digital development has transformed the media landscape, the pace of politics has accelerated, and international events affect us in new ways. This demands a thorough review of how we ensure a robust democracy.
Professor Lars Skov Henriksen presents insights from the Magtudredningen 2.0 (Power Audit 2.0) and explores civil society's central role for democracy. He illuminates why membership in associations is crucial for our ability to be active citizens and influence society's development.
The research behind the lecture is published in the Magtudredningen 2.0 book series through Aarhus University Press and is also presented in the podcast Jagten på magten (The Hunt for Power).
Admission: 100 DKK
