Folkeuniversitetet, Verdensmålscenteret and Aalborg Bibliotekerne invite you to an in-depth lecture on democracy, its challenges and opportunities for strengthening our democratic system.
Professor Tea Torbenfeldt Bengtsson analyses how the conditions for democracy in Danish society have changed significantly over the past 25 years – rising inequality, the digital revolution in media, accelerated political tempo and international influences. She focuses on how marginalization is not only about what is said, but also what remains unspoken, and about the power to define who is perceived as vulnerable – both in encounters with public institutions and in everyday life.
The event presents results from Power Analysis 2.0, which is published in a book series by Aarhus University Press and is also highlighted in the podcast The Hunt for Power.
At 7 pm, dinner is served, where participants can exchange thoughts and reflections on the themes.
