Folkeuniversitetet, Verdensmålscenteret and Aalborg Bibliotekerne invite you to a lecture on democracy and the many forms of power. Over the past 25 years, Danish society has undergone significant changes – inequality has risen, digital development has transformed the media landscape, the pace of politics has accelerated, and international trends are affecting borders.
Lecturer Jakob Linaa Jensen presents his research on social media's influence on news distribution, public debate and journalism – and thus on the conditions for politics and democracy. The lecture presents results from Power Analysis 2.0, published in a book series by Aarhus University Press and also as a podcast: The Hunt for Power.
Admission: 100 kr.
