Electra is a tragedy about the princess Electra, who is kept confined by her mother, Clytemnestra, and regarded as dangerous. Her rage is tied to an unrelenting chain of blood revenge rooted in Greek mythology and the Trojan War. The story begins with her father Agamemnon sacrificing his daughter Iphigenia to gain favorable winds for Troy, and with the fact that when he finally returned home many years later, he had still not been forgiven.
