Join a guided walking tour through Aalborg city centre organised by The House of Volunteers. The tour provides you with a unique insight into the city's voluntary social communities and the places where people come together to support, help, and build community in everyday life.
Along the way, the tour visits several important local initiatives and venues:
- Parasollen – an alcohol-free meeting place for people such as the homeless, socially disadvantaged, and those on the edge of the job market
- Mødrehjælpens genbrug – in addition to clothing loans, the venue offers free counselling and activities that strengthen families
- Reden – an anonymous counselling and meeting place primarily for women in prostitution, substance abuse, or other difficult situations such as violence and psychological vulnerability
You will have the opportunity to meet some of the people making a difference for vulnerable individuals and may be inspired to become a volunteer yourself.
