Aalborg Guide Association invites you on a fascinating tour through the city and its municipal roots. Learn about the mayors and city council members who have been central figures in shaping Aalborg's development over time.
The tour begins at Aalborg Municipality's administration building on Boulevarden, an architectural work designed by Ejnar Packness, which today houses the mayor's office. From there, you visit Aalborg's historic town hall, where you see the former city council chamber and the magnificent Saxo Hall with artistic decoration by Esben Hanefelt.
Along the way, you will hear stories about people and events that have shaped the city's development, and the tour concludes in the municipality's current city council chamber, where you gain insight into local democracy and the connection between past and present.
