ISHO is a Nordic duo featuring vocalist Emilija Jermola and bassist Shona Mélis. Their minimalist music emerges from a shared artistic vision and was formed through collaboration at Aalborg Music Conservatory. Inspired by artists such as Vega Trail, Svaneborg Kardyb and Hvalfugl, the duo creates intimate music that transforms life's natural melancholy into soothing ambient soundscapes, where vulnerability and strength meet.
At each performance, ISHO offers more than a traditional concert. The experience includes immersive ambient sound stories that guide audiences into their own personal world. The sound narratives seamlessly blend with the music and create a unique space where each listener is invited to turn inward and experience the simplicity and beauty of honest musical expression.
The duo has performed at SPOT FESTIVAL 2026 and toured Latvia the same year. With a focus on both national and international scenes, ISHO continues to develop their concert format.
