Røst Kvintet brings Nordic folk music to life through original acapella arrangements full of dramatic stories and tight harmonies. The quintet's members sing folk songs across time and cultures – from ancient folk ballads and modern hymns to songs about great human emotions such as love, heartbreak and jealousy.
With their characteristic "medieval barbershop" style, Røst Kvintet creates mystical and captivating moods. The music blends traditional Nordic musical tradition with elements from both classical music and jazz. Throughout the evening, the singers share stories and context for the music, creating an intimate evening of honest, deeply felt folk music and human presence.
