Reunite with one of Denmark's most respected jazz quintets. Saxophonist Uffe Markussen and trumpeter Thomas Fryland, two central figures in Danish jazz, lead this concert celebrating the music of the legendary Blue Note record label – one of jazz's most important imprints throughout history.
Markussen and Fryland have collaborated for many years in the Danish Radio's Big Band, where they performed with Blue Note legend Joe Henderson. In this quintet, they explore works by jazz classics such as Herbie Hancock, Lee Morgan, Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Kenny Dorham and Art Blakey.
