Nive & the Deer Children bring together warm storytelling, Arctic atmosphere, and americana folk in what they call inuit indie. Nive Nielsen is Inuk, a singer and songwriter, and with her band she creates a distinctive musical universe where Inuit folk, Nordic melancholy, and the sound of her small red ukulele come together.
Nive Nielsen’s very first concert was for Queen Margrethe on nationwide television. In 2012, she released her debut album Nive Sings, created in collaboration with John Parish, who is also known for his work with PJ Harvey and Tracy Chapman. Since then, she has toured extensively in the USA and Canada, won awards in both Denmark and the USA, appeared in Ridley Scott’s series The Terror, performed in the film The New World with Colin Farrell, and played with names such as The Black Keys and Howe Gelb. In 2026, she returns with her first album since Feet First from 2015. The concert takes place at Huset, and admission is 125 kr.
