Waves up North invites you to OpenDays Festival – a three-day event dedicated to new composition music and sound art, celebrating its 17th year. Encounters with boundary-pushing and contemporary musical expression are at the centre.

Norwegian Cikada String Quartet performs a program of works by Norwegian composers. The quartet – Karin Hellqvist (violin), Guro Asheim (violin), Bendik Foss (viola) and Ingvild Nesdal Sandnes (cello) – presents works by Øyvind Torvund, Kristine Tjøgersen and Jan Martin Smørdal.

Concert Program:

  • Øyvind Torvund (b. 1976): Fem stykker for strykekvartett (2025)
  • Kristine Tjøgersen (b. 1982): Habitat II (2023)
  • Jan Martin Smørdal (b. 1976): Reverse Alarm Variations for string quartet & speakers (2018)

Prices:
