Waves up North invites you to OpenDays Festival – a 3-day festival of contemporary composition and sound art, now in its 17th year. As the festival's closing concert, Vor Frue Kirkes Pigekor (choir) from Aalborg performs under the direction of Dorthe Græsborg Bruun with Peter Schüsler at the piano.
The choir presents a beautiful and varied program featuring works by classical composers including Phillip Faber, Michael Bojesen, Victor Johnson, and Jens Johansen, alongside Danish classics and songs set to texts by figures such as Tove Ditlevsen. Particularly exciting is the world premiere of Stine Benjaminsen's new work "Som Fnug" (2026), commissioned by the choir and festival with support from Waves up North and KODA Kultur.
The program combines artistic songs, Danish folk songs, and international classics in a memorable concert experience.
