OpenDays Festival is a three-day event dedicated to new compositional music and sound art, held for the 17th time this year. The festival presents a diverse program of concerts from professional artists in contemporary music — from international guests to Danish and local musicians, all selected from Waves up North's international network.
The festival takes place at Nørresundby Gl. Rådhus, where the concert hall's acoustics create the perfect setting for new music. The musical program unfolds over three days, featuring among others Rudersdal Kammersolister (Friday), Cikada String Quartet from Norway and local performers (Saturday) as well as Cæcilia Kvartet, MGK Nord and Ensemble Abstraktion (Sunday). Saturday includes an Open Call for sound art pieces with a prize sponsored by the Gudrun & Palle Mørchs Mindefond.
The Festival Café is open on Saturday from 6 p.m., where you can purchase food and meet the performing artists.
Tickets: 150 kr. per concert, festival pass for all three days 250 kr. Students: 75 kr. (festival pass 125 kr.). Children under 18 and members have free admission.
