Solborg - Banke - Heebøl feat. Søndergaard

The trio consisting of Solborg, Banke and Heebøl presents chamber music of high quality under the direction of Mark Solborg. Vibraphonist Viktoria Søndergaard appears as guest soloist and brings a natural musical synergy to the group, where all musicians function as one entity with transparent and elastic sound.

The programme comprises original works composed by Solborg for the occasion – the music is rhythmically complex and sonically intense, yet maintains a sustained melodic thread as well as energy and beautiful, at times slightly quirky textures. The group is known for its distinctive reciprocity and intuitive playing style, where listening, respect and curiosity guide musical choices.

The instrumentation is broadly composed: percussion, bowed guitar, cymbals, vibraphone, bass clarinet, saxophones, alto flute, electronics and traditional string instrumentation. At this concert in Aalborg, new material destined for an upcoming release is presented – a unique opportunity to hear works live before they are fixed on record.
