One million Danes struggle daily with chronic bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis. These conditions bring constant challenges: severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stools, and daily anxiety about situations without access to toilet facilities. Many live with shame and silence surrounding their illness.
TabuTuesday focuses on open conversations about society's taboo topics. Here, people living with chronic bowel inflammation share their experiences, worries, and the psychological burden that comes with these diseases. You are welcome to both contribute to the conversation or simply listen. The event is organized by Aalborg Try Out and creates space for honesty and community around an issue many struggle with in silence.
