Spooky Cozy Halloween at Aalborg Zoo

Experience Aalborg Zoo in autumn spirit with a Halloween theme from October 3rd to 31st. Pumpkins, flowers, and festive decorations surround the zoo's animals, creating a special atmosphere with fun, learning, and thrills for the whole family.

At the entrance, meet an artwork created by Aalborg Zoo's volunteers featuring the iconic Bear Man. The installation blends autumn colors with natural materials from Os Om Havet's cleanup events and highlights waste and environmental responsibility. The tour continues through the bird aviary with spiders, cobwebs, and dim lighting, and at Lemur Square children can enjoy dino cars and a zoo carousel.

Activities and experiences

• The Graveyard of the Extinct: Meet Dr. Skeleton and Pip, who tell stories about extinct and endangered species using authentic bones from the Natural History Museum – history mixed with spooky atmosphere.
• The Mysterious Pet Shop: In the old cafe building among baboons and kangaroos, a zookeeper presents the serious reality of illegal wildlife trade.
• Nature Mission: Families solve tasks throughout the zoo and receive a prize at The Mysterious Pet Shop.
• Halloween after dark: On selected evenings, lights, pumpkins, and decorations create a mystical setting. On Halloween night itself, costumed children can go trick-or-treating and collect candy in their pumpkin bags.
