Discover how Aalborg Municipality operates and learn about the notable figures who have shaped the city's development through the ages on a guided tour organised by Aalborg Guides Association.
The tour begins at the municipal administration building on Boulevarden 13. You will explore this architecturally beautiful structure, designed by architect Ejnar Packness, which now houses the mayor's office and modern municipal operations.
The group then visits the old town hall, where the former council chamber can be seen. Here you will also experience the Saxo Hall with its striking artistic decoration created by Esben Hanefelt.
Throughout the walk, stories are shared about the city's many colourful mayors and their influence on Aalborg's growth and development. The tour concludes in the current council chamber, where the municipality's 31 council members make the important decisions that shape the city's future.
