Discover Aalborg's vibrant entertainment history from 1900 to the present day on this guided walking tour. The journey takes you through both the refined and colourful sides of the city's past — from elegant patisseries and cabarets to smugglers' bars and hidden histories. Along the way, you'll hear fascinating stories about legendary establishments like the acclaimed Konditori Kirstine (closed 1982), which supplied luxury chocolates to the royal family, and Ritz Safari (1930–1951), a sophisticated gathering place for celebrities enjoying exotic cocktails and cabaret music during the interwar years.
The tour also visits the sites of the province's first discotheques, passes open and closed bars and cinemas, and explores the district's reputation that earned Aalborg the nickname "Denmark's Sodom." Of course, a stroll through Jomfru Ane Gade — Denmark's longest pub street — is included.
